 Application for Adoption from Mutts Matter Rescue

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue! By thoroughly completing this adoption application, you can help us to ensure that all of our dogs will be placed in homes that are best suited to their individual needs. Please note that we do NOT place dogs on a first-come-first-serve basis. Rather, we asses our dogs personalities and their needs, and then match them with a forever home based on the best fit for the dog.

Please keep in mind, there is absolutely no guarantee made or implied that any person requesting to adopt a dog being fostered through MMR, or posted on MMR's Website, will be allowed to adopt an MMR DOG. MMR reserves the right to make all decisions regarding placement or final disposition of any rescued dog in its care. What can I expect after I apply? Please understand that our organization is staffed completely by hard-working volunteers. The processing of your application may take longer based on the number of applications being received and incomplete applications will not be considered. Your application, and a good vet reference, will be used to determine whether we contact you to begin the approval process, which includes a telephone interview, reference checks, and a home visit. Not all applicants will be contacted. PLEASE realize that several homes are interviewed for each dog to ensure the best possible match. While we welcome you to apply for a specific dog, we cannot guarantee that your application will be considered for that dog.

What if I live outside of the Virginia, Maryland, or DC Area? Due to limited resources, we concentrate our adoptions in these areas. Applications outside of our immediate service area will be considered on a case by case basis as resources allow.
